Day 43. Wohin Gehen die Touristen?

We explored more on understanding directions. Certain prepositions can only be used with appropriate nouns. Just like in English, you would not say "go in the bridge" to someone. The grammatically correct phrase would be "go over the bridge".

In German, certain prepositions signify the case of the sentence. I try to remember as much that the genders of the noun changes along with the cases. For explanation regarding German cases, click on the "cases" link found on the right side, under the header "Labels".

Here is a table with some examples. Click the image to enlarge preview.

Note that words should be combined:
in das = ins
zu dem = zum
zu der = zur
an dem = am

As always, all your notes are superbly and systematically done. This blog is going to be a really useful resource not just for you, but for other learners of German. Kudos! :)
